Hand Surgery of Northern Michigan

Services & Treatment

Hand Surgery of Northern Michigan offers treatment for disorders of the hand and upper extremity.

Although many people with hand injuries or disease see a primary care or emergency room physician first, a specialist may be best suited to treat such conditions.

Depending on the problem, treatment varies. Non-surgical approaches offer solutions for many of our patients. These include:

•casts or splints
•cortisone injections
•hand therapy
•medication: analgesics/antibiotics.

For more severe situations, surgery may be required. We perform:

•full surgical procedures
•arthroscopy and microvascular surgery

When appropriate, we prescribe occupational therapy with our certified hand therapists.
